The MT-07 is the most common MT in Morocco, and the one with the most designs in our range. Finding a kit isn't the hard part: picking the one that matches the exact plastics of your generation is.

Updated 30 October 2026
Yamaha has reworked the MT-07 three times since launch. Each time, some of the plastics changed shape, and a decal doesn't forgive a millimetre of difference.
| Generation | Model years | Visual cue |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 2014 to 2017 | Launch of the 689 cc twin, round headlight, original tank covers. |
| 2nd | 2018 to 2020 | Chunkier tank covers and scoops, new seat, revised tail and front mudguard. |
| 3rd | 2021 to 2024 | New LED face, slim indicators, redesigned bodywork. |
| 4th | 2025 onwards | All-new styling: every panel is new. |
Our ready-to-fit MT-07 kits are listed for 2014 to 2020. The 2018 update falls right in the middle: if your bike is a 2017 or 2018, or you're not sure, send a side shot on WhatsApp and we'll check before shipping. For a 2021 or newer MT-07, it's a custom job.
The XSR700 shares the MT-07's engine and frame, but not its plastics: round tank, different seat and tail. An MT-07 kit won't fit an XSR700.
The exact parts depend on the design: the sheet on each product page shows them all.
With so many options, start from your bike's original colour rather than the design that looks best in a photo.
Torn between three designs? Recreate them in the design studio, or send your photo to the workshop and we'll tell you which one works best with your colour.
The MT-07's tank covers come off with a few screws: removing them makes for a much cleaner job, especially on the folded edges. Our fitting guide walks you through it. Then there's the Moroccan sun: gentle washing, no pressure washer on the edges, and the tips in the sun care guide.
2021 or 2025 MT-07, your name, a race number, club colours: that's custom territory, designed for your parts with a render to approve before cutting. To compare with the other MTs, read the Yamaha MT guide.
No. The MT-07 was redesigned in 2021 with a new front end and new bodywork. A 2021-onwards MT-07 needs a kit custom-designed for its parts.
2018 is when the tank covers and scoops were reworked. Send a side and a front photo on WhatsApp before ordering: we'll confirm the kit you've picked fits properly.
It's not mandatory, but it's recommended: with the parts off, you can fold the edges neatly and avoid bubbles in the corners.
No. Those bikes share the MT-07's engine but not its plastics. They need a custom kit.
