The Tracer is the MT-09's triple dressed up to eat miles: Fez to Agadir in one go, tall screen and panniers. It also has the biggest smooth panels in the family, and that changes everything for a graphics kit.

Updated 30 October 2026
The Tracer changed its name at the same time as its bodywork, so the name on your bike is already a good clue:
| Name | Model years | Bodywork changes |
|---|---|---|
| MT-09 Tracer (FJ-09 in North America) | 2015 to 2017 | First model, unveiled late 2014: half fairing, twin headlights, the MT-09's 847 cc engine. |
| Tracer 900 and Tracer 900 GT | 2018 to 2020 | Redesigned front fairing, larger one-hand adjustable screen, revised panels, longer swingarm. The GT adds panniers and heated grips. |
| Tracer 9 and Tracer 9 GT | 2021 onwards | New generation: 890 cc engine, new frame, fully redesigned fairing and lights. |
Our ready-to-fit Tracer kits are designed for the 847 cc Tracer. Because the fairing was revised in 2018, send us a side and a front photo of your bike on WhatsApp before ordering: we'll confirm which kit fits your version. For a Tracer 9 (2021 onwards), it's a custom job.
Despite the shared engine, a Tracer has no plastics in common with the MT-09 naked bike. Don't order an MT-09 kit for a Tracer.
On a naked bike you play with small parts. On a Tracer, you finally get some surface area:
On large panels, a light shade gets less hot in full sun and shows less road dust. Dark colours look superb but need more care.
Large panels are less forgiving with bubbles: fit with two people if you can, working from the centre out, after thorough degreasing. The fitting guide and the checklist help you avoid the classic mistakes. A Tracer racks up miles in the sun: the sun care guide keeps the colours going longer.
Tracer 9, matching panniers, a touring club logo or a number: imagine your project in the design studio, then hand it to the workshop as a custom job. To choose between several styles, read choosing your graphics kit.
The fairing was revised in 2018 when the bike became the Tracer 900. Send a side and a front photo on WhatsApp: we'll tell you which kit matches your version before shipping.
The 2018-2020 GT is based on the Tracer 900 of the same period, with panniers and extra equipment. We check from a photo that the panels match the kit you've chosen.
No. The Tracer 9 is a new generation with fully redesigned bodywork. It needs a custom kit designed for its parts.
Yes, as a custom job. We design a look that links the fairing and the panniers, you approve the render, then we print, cut and fit at the Fez workshop or deliver the kit to you.
