Custom

Your custom kit, from idea to road.

How to prepare your brief, which photos to send, how the price is worked out and what happens between your idea and the fitting: custom work explained, no fluff.

A custom kit is a design drawn for your bike, panel by panel. The clearer your request, the closer the first proof gets, and the sooner you're riding with it. Here's how to go about it.

How a project works

  1. Tell us about your project: through the custom form, on WhatsApp, or by dropping by the Fès workshop with your bike.
  2. We look at the bike: in person at the workshop, or through your photos if you're far away.
  3. We draw a design that fits your bike's shapes.
  4. You approve the proof before anything is cut. Until it's approved, nothing gets made.
  5. Production: printing, then plotter cutting, in 5 to 10 working days.
  6. Fitting at the workshop in Fès, or kit delivered to you so you can fit it yourself.

Preparing your brief

You don't need to be able to draw. You just need to know what you like and what you don't. Before you message us, write down:

  • Your bike: make, model, exact year, original colour.
  • The style: racing, retro, minimal, aggressive, Moroccan… One or two words are enough.
  • Your references: 3 to 5 images of bikes, cars, posters or logos you like. Say what you like about each one (the colour? the shape of the stripes? the typeface?).
  • Your colours: two or three at most, with one dominant.
  • Text: first name, nickname, number, club name. Double-check the spelling, in French as well as in Arabic.
  • The areas: full kit, or just certain parts.
  • What you don't want: a colour, an effect, a style. It's often the most useful info.
  • Your budget and deadline: if you need to ride to an event, say so from the start.
A good brief

« Something cool » doesn't help us. « Matte black and yellow, thin 80s-racing stripes, my number 46 on the tail, no flames » helps a lot.

Photos to send if you're far from Fès

The design is drawn on your bike's real shapes. If you can't come to the workshop, your photos are our eyes. They need to be sharp and undistorted.

Lighting

  • Clean bike, outdoors in the shade or on an overcast day: the light is soft and even.
  • Not in direct sunlight: reflections hide the shapes and shadows mislead.
  • No night shots and nothing under a garage strip light.

Angles

  • Overall views: left side, right side, front, rear, front three-quarter.
  • Every panel head-on, phone held perpendicular to the panel and at its height: tank side, scoop, mudguard, tail section, belly pan.
  • The top of the tank, shot from above.
  • A tape measure held against the largest panels: it gives the scale.
  • The registration document (name hidden if you like) to confirm model and year.
Avoid the wide-angle

A phone's wide-angle lens held close to the panel distorts the shapes. Step back a metre or two and zoom in slightly (x2): proportions stay true.

Send it all on WhatsApp at +212 6 61 14 02 85, in original quality if you can.

The proof and adjustments

We send you a visual proof of the design on your bike. Take your time looking at it on a big screen, show it to a friend, compare both sides. This is the moment to say everything: a colour too dark, a number too small, a stripe that doesn't follow the line. Once it's approved, we print and cut: changing your mind at that stage means a new production run.

Judging a proof

Look at the proof from a distance, the way people will see your bike on the street. A detail that seems important on screen often vanishes at three metres, while a colour contrast jumps out straight away.

How the price is worked out

A custom project costs between 1,500 and 15,000 DH. The range is wide because projects are too. The quote depends on:

FactorWhat pushes the price upWhat keeps it reasonable
Area coveredFull kit on a maxi-scooter or a fully faired adventure bikeA few panels on a naked bike
Number of partsLots of small parts, separate logos and pinstripesA few large parts
Design complexityIllustrations, fine patterns, lots of back-and-forthSimple graphic design, precise brief
FittingFull fitting at the workshopKit delivered, fitted by you

The quote is free. Ask for it with your brief and photos: it'll be more accurate.

Lead times

Allow 5 to 10 working days of production, counted from approval of the proof. Design and adjustment time depends on how fast the back-and-forth goes: a clear brief and quick replies save days. If the kit is delivered, add delivery time (2 to 5 working days in major cities, 5 to 10 elsewhere). For a fixed date (club ride, wedding, show), tell us in your first message.

Logos and rights

Manufacturer logos, sponsor logos and official team liveries are protected trademarks. We don't copy them: we create a design in the same spirit. For a club, team or company logo, supply a file you hold the rights to, ideally in vector format (AI, SVG, PDF, EPS). A low-resolution image grabbed off the internet comes out blurry once enlarged.

Moroccan design ideas

Going custom is also a chance to have a bike that could only come from Morocco.

  • Zellige: geometric stars and rosettes, as a full pattern or a thin band along a fairing. Stunning in two tones.
  • Amazigh motifs: the diamonds and lines of rugs and jewellery, the ⵣ (yaz) symbol. Graphic, modern, very readable.
  • Arabic calligraphy: your name or a motto in geometric Kufic or Maghribi script. Have the text checked by someone you trust.
  • Colours of our cities: Chefchaouen blue, Marrakech ochre, the green and white of Fès.
  • Red and green from the flag, as accents.
Respect the symbols

The flag and the green star are national symbols. Treat them with respect: correct colours and proportions, no distortion, and never on an area that gets dirty or kicked, like the bottom of a belly pan or a rear mudguard. Also avoid sacred texts on a bike, which gets dirty and hosed down.

Workshop fitting or DIY?

  • Fitting at the Fès workshop: you drop off your bike, we handle the prep and the fitting in proper conditions. The obvious choice for a full kit or very curvy panels.
  • Kit delivered: ideal if you're far away or like doing things yourself. Follow our step-by-step fitting guide and send a photo on WhatsApp if anything's unclear.

FAQ

How much does a custom motorcycle graphics kit cost?

Between 1,500 and 15,000 DH depending on the area covered, the number of parts, the design complexity and the fitting. The quote is free: send your brief and photos of your bike for an accurate estimate.

I'm not in Fès, can I still get a custom kit?

Yes. You send sharp photos of your bike (every panel head-on, with a tape measure for scale), we design from those photos, you approve the proof, then the kit is delivered anywhere in Morocco for you to fit.

How long until I get my kit?

Production takes 5 to 10 working days after the proof is approved. Add the design and adjustment time, which depends on how fast the back-and-forth goes, then delivery if the kit is shipped.

Do I see the design before it's made?

Yes. You get a visual proof and nothing is cut until you approve it. That's the time to ask for any changes.

Can I add my club or company logo?

Yes, from a file you hold the rights to, ideally vector. Big-brand and sponsor logos are protected and aren't reproduced without permission.

Can I get a refund on a custom kit if I change my mind?

No, a kit made for your bike isn't refundable, unless it's defective. That's why the proof is approved before any cutting: take the time to look at it properly.
